§ 1
General Information
These Regulations define the rules for the organization and implementation of the competition titled OP_YOUNG – Mentorship Program #7 (hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”), as well as the rights and obligations of its Participants.
The Competition is organized by OP ENHEIM Foundation, based in Wrocław (50-060), Plac Solny 4, hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”, with the support of its patron — GENTZ Notarial and Legal Office.
Objectives of the Competition:
- to present the work of emerging visual artists (up to 35 years of age at the time of application) from the Lower Silesia region;
- to present and promote valuable and innovative artistic practices;
- to provide substantive support in artistic development and foster good professional habits and practices;
- to support visual artists in their artistic careers;
- to engage young visual artists in critical and artistic discourse;
- to activate and mentor the local artistic community.
The subject of the Competition is the awarding of prizes to individuals (hereinafter referred to as the “Laureate”) whose artistic work will be presented as part of a collective exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the “Exhibition”), which will take place at the Foundation’s premises (Gallery OP ENHEIM, Plac Solny 4, Wrocław) in the following year. The exact dates of the Exhibition shall be agreed individually with the Laureates.
Current information regarding the Competition shall be published on the Foundation’s website and social media channels.
§ 2
Conditions of Participation
Participation in the Competition is free of charge and voluntary.
Any adult natural person with full legal capacity may participate, provided that they originate from, reside in, study in, or create work within the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and are under 35 years of age at the time of submitting their application, excluding employees of the Foundation and Competition organizers.
Participation requires submitting a complete application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) within the deadline specified in these Regulations via the application form available at www.opyoung.pl.
A complete Application consists of:
- Application Form containing personal data, contact information, biography, statement, a short project concept intended for development, declarations, and GDPR information clause (hereinafter referred to as the “Form”);
- Portfolio (PDF file or online portfolio link);
- Project Proposal — a PDF file containing the concept of the artistic project to be developed during the mentorship program and ultimately realized in a form agreed upon with the organizers for the final exhibition. The PDF may not exceed 5 pages (hereinafter referred to as the “Project”).
Each Participant may submit only one Application. Artistic collectives are allowed to participate.
Submitting a complete Application together with the correctly completed Form constitutes participation in the Competition and full acceptance of these Regulations.
Only complete Applications shall be considered. Applications that do not comply with the format specified herein or are submitted after the deadline indicated in the Schedule shall not be considered.
The Project constitutes a work within the meaning of the Polish Copyright and Related Rights Act of 4 February 1994 and may take any form, including but not limited to installation, model, maquette, sculpture, device, photography, drawing, painting, print, visualization, animation, or film.

The submitted Project, in conceptual form, should contain a concise description as well as preliminary sketches, ideas, or examples of existing works intended to be incorporated into the Project. Including previous works from the portfolio aims to ensure consistency of artistic practice, demonstrate continuity of artistic development, and enable better understanding of the Participant’s artistic context and intentions.
