OP_YOUNG is a programme which aims to promote the art of young, progressive male and female artists associated with Lower Silesia. Thanks to its formula, it has a chance to influence the revival of the local art scene and to include representatives of the young generation in the area of critical and artistic discussion. OP_YOUNG was created in 2020 out of the need to support the local artistic community in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. Reacting to the uneasy situation of female and male artists, we created a programme which is not based solely on financial aid, but which, through its extensive formula, has a chance to influence the revival of the Lower Silesian art scene and to include representatives of the younger generation in the area of critical and artistic discussion. As part of the OP_Young edition programme, we awarded a total of 10 young artists and granted 5 distinctions.
