The OP_YOUNG mentoring programme is implemented by OP ENHEIM with young female and male artists in mind from 2020. It was born out of the need to support the local art community and to include its representatives in the critical and artistic discussion area of the country. We are pleased that this year our activities are supported by the Local Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Berlin law and notary firm GENTZ.
OP_YOUNG, is also a symbolic opening up of OP ENHEIM to progressive artists and female creators of the younger generation, whose development we, as an institution, want to actively support.
To date, we have awarded 15 artists and awarded 7 honorable mentions and one extra-prize. Their works have been presented in the spaces of our gallery, at our headquarters at 4 Solny Square in Wroclaw, and some of them have become part of the OP ENHIEM collection.
FORM
OP_YOUNG is aimed at all artists under 35 years of age who are associated with the Lower Silesia area. On the basis of the applications submitted, three people will be selected to take part in the programme, which will last for nearly a year.
WHAT CAN YOU GAIN?
1/ an exhibition at OP ENHEIM’s headquarters with full curatorial development;
2/ prize in the amount of 5,000.00 gross
3/ an individual mentoring path: the development of your project and artistic practice, as well as preparation for operating within the art market through collaboration with curatorial and expert professionals
4/ the opportunity to realise your project with production support and a budget of up to PLN 3,500 gross for its implementation
5/ professional curatorial, production, and promotional support
